Huawei Mate X3 to fly in March with Snapdragon 8+ and 2nd gen Satellite communication

Huawei Mate X3 foldable phone could launch in March and the company could bring in a number of high-end features including Snapdragon 8+ and second-gen of satellite communication.

A well-known tipster from Weibo, Classmateguan revealed that Huawei Mate X3 has a new compact design that is thin and easy to use, as it will arrive in March, claims the tipster. He mentioned that the tech giant is pretty confident in the foldable phone segment and this upcoming version.

The tipster further elaborated that the phone will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 high-performance version chipset. At least it was seen in the test device and it may remain unchanged with the official launch.

Moving on, Huawei Mate X3 will bring out brand new satellite communication technology, which is an improved version of what we’ve seen in the Mate 50 lineup.

Snapdragon 8+:

Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 is an octa-core chipset consisting of Octa-core, 1 × Cortex-X2 at 3.2 GHz + 3 × Cortex-A710 at 2.75 GHz + 4 × Cortex-A510 at 2.0 GHz. The SoC is supported by Adreno GPU and 7th Gen Qualcomm AI Engine.

New satellite communication:

Second-generation satellite communication is expected to enable two-way SMS communication. The feature initially supported only way SMS. The latest feature allows you to send and receive messages via satellite connectivity without a mobile network. However, more information is yet to come.

Million Unit:

A report reveals that Huawei Mate X3 will enter mass production in March this year and the company could launch it around the clock. In the start, Huawei is planning to produce 1.47 million units of Mate X3, which could be adjusted depending on the market and demand.

For now, Huawei has not released an official confirmation on the launch date but we will keep you posted on more development in this story.
