Huawei P70 series is in the development stage and looks like the company is already on the move to collect components for the Mate 70 series, including an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. The latest input has shared new insights for the next Mate lineup.

Weibo tipster @BeijingDigitalMaster says that one of the Huawei Mate 70 models is currently testing the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. It also hints that the Chinese tech maker may use the respective capability for only one Mate 70 variant.

Predicting the model, a few netizens said that it could be the Huawei Mate 70 Ultimate Design handset. However, the company has not confirmed this news and we have to wait for some time to obtain official details on this subject.

Such types of fingerprint scanners use high-frequency sound waves to perceive the outer layer of the skin. Unlike traditional scanners, the new ultrasonic fingerprint sensors are more accurate and work efficiently even when fingers are wet or dirty.

On the greener side, these sensors are highly reliable and secure over time. It easily measures the differences between ridges instead of edges and makes the scanning processor more precise than ever. Thus, it would be a useful implementation.

P70 Series to use an optical fingerprint sensor?

As per some supply chain sources, the Huawei P70 series is hearsay to adopt an optical fingerprint scanner. The company has been in rumors about collecting the respective components. However, there aren’t any new details on this matter.

Huawei Mate 70 Series is expected to be far more superior than its predecessors. The device could fetch a powerful Kirin chipset, the newly introduced HarmonyOS NEXT software system, and a quad-curved 2K display solution.
