Huawei has started distributing the latest April 2022 security update for devices running on HarmonyOS and EMUI software systems. In the latest edition, Huawei April 2022 software update reached to flagship – Huawei Mate 40 smartphone powered by HarmonyOS 2.0.
The new information reveals that the April 2022 update for Huawei Mate 40 standard variant comes with HarmonyOS 2.0 version 220.127.116.11 updated from 18.104.22.168. However, this update is rolling out for Mate 40 Chinese variant, as HarmonyOS is still limited to home ground.
According to the changelog, the latest update installed the HarmonyOS security patch released in April 2022 for better system privacy as well as optimizes system stability, which helps the system to run more smoothly.

How to update:
There are two methods to update your Huawei smartphone and both are mentioned below.
Before updating, make sure that your smartphone should be charged 30% or above and also have a sufficient amount of storage to download and install the software update packaege.
You need to open the settings menu on the smartphone, tap on system & updates, and then tap on software updates. From here, a page update page appears on the screen with the CHECK FOR UPDATES option, hit the button, and let the phone check the latest update for you. Once the update appeared on the screen, press the download and install option.

During the Huawei P60 series launch event, Huawei Smart Car Business Cheif, Yu Chengdong announced that all AITO smart car models will get HarmonyOS 3.0 operating system by the end of this month.
