Huawei Founder ChatGPT

Huawei Founder, Ren Zhengfei is the person behind Huawei’s success in various businesses and he recently gave his thoughts about the trending AI powered software, ChatGPT.

Ren said that there will be a huge surge in AI models and it’s not just Microsoft, there will be a lot of competition waiting in the industry.

The direct contribution of artificial intelligence software platform companies to human society may be less than 2% and 98% is the promotion of industrial society and agricultural society. Such AI technology could utilize a big use case of AI services and requires a powerful 5G network.

Further on ChatGPT, the Huawei founder emphasized that his company will only be the underlying computing power platform of AI and will not use the application platform.

On the question of using ChatGPT inside Huawei, Ren replied that the Chinese tech maker will boost the demand for computing and pipeline flow, and Huawei’s relevant products will have more market demand.

It’s quite true that Huawei has so many advanced technologies to counter ChatGPT but the company may not launch them onboard for public use directly. Instead, provide them via solutions to business partners.

ChatGPT:

ChatGPT is an AI-powered chatbot developed by OpenAI and launched in November 2022 and gathered immense popularity within a few months.

It is built on top of the OpenAI GPT-3 family of large language models and has been fine-tuned using both supervised and reinforcement learning techniques.

As of the recent estimations, ChatGPT evaluated worth 29 billion USD and OpenAI launched GPT-4 version, which is the newest OpenAI model.
