Huawei committed to support female leadership in digital transformation: Director

Recently, Huawei hosted a digital literacy seminar under “Female Leadership in the Digital Age” theme on one Indonesian Parliamentary forum. Huawei Senior Vice President and Director Chen Lifang (Catherine Chen) delivered a keynote speech.

The session was about women, encouraging them to become creators of the digital world or leaders in the digital technology industry. The host presented Ms. Chen as one of the examples to actively participate in the use of digital technology.

Coming to the speech of Director Chen, she reminded to look for the era of the emancipation idol Katini for Indonesian women. To be mentioned, RA Katini is a famous historical activist who took a stand for women’s rights and female education in Indonesia.

In addition, she also stated, Huawei is committed to supporting women’s leadership in various digital fields. She believes that to perform in a comprehensive digital age, female leaders and talents are required as well.

At last, she concluded by saying, today is just a beginning. Now the company will collaborate with the House of Representatives and KPP-RI to provide a platform to those who are waiting for an opportunity.

Huawei’s activities in Indonesia:

The Chinese tech is quite active in Indonesia and has been busy with 100 projects in the country. Moving ahead, it recently collaborated with Indonesia cyber security to empower the local safety arrangements.

Furthermore, it has a series of “I do” projects focused on different aspects. Adding to this, the company plans to train about 100,000 employees from the government and local sectors in the next five years. To date, it has cultivated 45,000 digital talents in the country.
