Huawei is sending the first February 2023 security update for EMUI smartphones in the global market, this release also marks the beginning of this security improvement for Huawei devices.

According to the information, Huawei Mate 40 Pro is getting the latest security update and comes with EMUI version 12.0.0.301 with February 2023 security patch.

This is a surprising patch, as smartphone users are eagerly waiting for EMUI 13, which is the latest version of EMUI but there’s no news or input available about the software update so far. Meanwhile, the latest security patch only shows that the wait is expanding further.

The latest firmware enables better security for your device and you should get it as soon as possible.

If you want to download this new software update, then visit the Settings section > then tap on System & updates and hit the Software update, and head towards the blue button “CHECK FOR UPDATES”. Then the phone reaches the server and returns with a response.

If the update is available the phone will pop up the OTA update package. You can tap the DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL button to begin the download and installation process.

To note, your phone will take some time to download the process depending on the size and internet speed. On the other side, your phone will restart after the successful installation. Also, the update package will delete automatically after the procedure is completed.

Yes, EMUI 13 is far away and there’s already a lot of time passed but we’ll keep you posted with all of the developments of this story.
