How to install EMUI 12 on your Huawei phone [Live installation]

Huawei EMUI 12 rollout at its peak and reaching all eligible devices as soon as possible in the global market. It is the latest version in the EMUI software series that brings a new user interface and features inspired by HarmonyOS.

To date, Huawei has seeded EMUI 12 in most of the prominent smartphones including Mate 40, P40, Mate 30, P30 series, Nova 5T, and more. However, the stable EMUI 12 update is rolling out in batches and may take some time to cover all users.

For your information, this update came into effect through the OTA medium. So global Huawei users, have you received the EMUI 12 software update? If yes, have you successfully completed the EMUI 12 update installation on your Huawei phone?

Remember:

Before you proceeded to install the update, make sure that your smartphone should be charged at least 30% and above. Also, maintain enough storage of around 6 GB to download the update package without any issue.

We suggest you connect to a WiFi network for fast and buffer-free download as well as can save extra-data costs. However, this update won’t erase your data but it’s good to keep a backup copy.

Update procedure:

To update, go to the phone’s settings, tap on system & updates and then tap on software updates. From here, click on CHECK FOR UPDATES and if available, tap on download and install.

Alternatively, visit the My Huawei app on your phone and check it is running on the latest version. Now, go to the support section, tap on updates and you will be redirected to the update page. Afterward, tap on the download and install option.

Once the update process, don’t try to operate or switch off the phone. The process may around 30-40 mins. Afterward, the phone automatically reboots and it’s done.
