Google Play Store offers a variety of content for Android devices and today we’ll going to show you how to download and install Android apps from it. Yes! The procedure is quite simple and we’ll not make it complicated by any means possible.

To be mentioned we’re not covering Google Play Instant apps under this scenario, so we’ll get you only the traditional way of getting desired apps from the Google Play Store.

Also, you can access Google Play Store to check apps on the web version but you will be required to own an Android device to download and install the apps on your smartphone or any other platform. Furthermore, windows and mac users won’t be able to use Android apps on their devices (except Windows 11).

Let’s dive into the instructions.

First, you need to find the Play Store app and tap the icon to launch it. Or open the Google Play store (weblink).

Now go to the top search bar and enter the name of the app or game or the content you want to search on the Play Store.

While you type the name of the app, you will be prompted with suggested apps related to your keywords along with auto-completing, you can tap on the autocomplete text to jump on the app directly.

If you don’t find your app’s name in the autocomplete, type the name completely and hit the search button.

Details Page:

Select your app and it’ll lead to a details page, where you’ll have to tap on the large “Install” button to begin the download process.

Note: After pressing the download key, you’ll have to wait according to the size of the Android app/game and your internet connection speed.

Once downloaded, you will see two buttons – Uninstall or Open. You can tap Open to launch the app on the spot.

Or, you can find it in the app drawer section to launch it anytime, because it is now installed on your Android device.

Tip:

You can check the app’s Google Play Store Data Safety section by scrolling down below to check, which data the app or game will collect from your device, post installation.

Paid apps:

Google Play Store has the biggest app library in any mobile app ecosystem. However, not all of the content is free on the platform. Hence, you will also find apps with price tags, which means they are paid apps and you’ll have to pay the labeled price to get them on your Android device.

If you proceed to download a paid app, you should know two things.

First, you’ll have to register payment option/credentials to your Gmail account, before moving to the selected app. If you’ve already set up your payment option, then you will be directly prompted with the payment procedure, which only takes two steps.
