On November 26, Honor launched its first-ever 5G smartphones series comprising two models Honor V30 5G and V30 Pro 5G that offers next-gen network access, high-speed performance, new camera system and more.
Honor V30 series includes a 6.57-inch FHD+ display with dual punch-hole design to house two front cameras. The display is TUV certified to ensure user’s eye safety.
Honor V30 5G is powered by the dual 7nm chip combination of Kirin 990 processor + Balong 5000 modem. On the other hand, V30 Pro is powered by all in one chip Kirin 990 5G, providing the ability for faster processing and supports both SA/NSA dual-mode 5G networks.
This year, Honor has demonstrated its camera revolution with the launch of Honor 20 series and now the Honor V30 series has taken this revolution even further.
Honor V30 series comes with a new Matrix Camera with triple rear camera setups on both smartphones.
Honor V30 has 40MP main + 8MP ultrawide angle + 8MP telephoto and a laser focus sensor. The V30 Pro also comes with a triple rear camera comprising 12MP Movie lense/Ultra-wide angle, 40MP main camera, 8MP telephoto, and the laser autofocus.
The camera lenses used in the phones have a high ISO level of 200,000 in V30, and the Pro is more than 400,000. Coming to the front side, these phones have a dual-camera setup of 32MP selfie and an 8MP camera for ultra-wide-angle shots, which can cover more people in a single selfie.
To be mentioned, Honor has also added some new features with the help of AI and AR technologies.
From the software side, the Honor V30 series comes out of the box with the latest Magic UI version 3.0 that’s based on Android. Also, the software capabilities and performance are improved by GPU Turbo 3.0, new Link Turbo, and more.
Honor V30 and V30 Pro come with a 4100mAh and 4200mAh batteries that can be recharged with a 40W fast charging, 27W wireless charging, and also 7.5 reverse wireless charging. Under the hood, these phones have an 8mm heat dissipation that provides PC grade cooling.
Honor V20 series was quite famous among gamers for its performance high graphics gaming and users can expect even more from the Honor 30 because the company has now officially added support for a gamepad for this 5G smartphone.

Huawei Mate 50 series with Kunlun Glass is unbreakable and Bruce Lee said that Kunlun Glass has been developed for 4 years. At this time, the company has gone through various challenges and made its way through them.
According to Lee, Kunlun Glass found inspiration from the hard and durable reinforced concrete structure. After 24 hours of crystal growth, 108 processes, and a 1600-degree melting process, a piece of mobile phone panel glass contains hundreds of billions of high-strength nanocrystals, which are impact-resistant.
The process also prevents cracking, so that the crash resistance of the whole machine equipped with Kunlun glass is increased by 10 times.
After the release of the Huawei Mate 50 series, Huawei also opened an upgrade service for old Huawei smartphones. These eligible devices could upgrade with Kunlun display including the P50 series and P40 series.

Huawei will bring a surprise chipset this year: Tipster
2023 brought in new opportunities for Huawei and the tech make is preparing to bring in a surprise in the chipset category, suggesting a well-known Huawei tipster, which seems really exciting.
Classmateguan said that Huawei will work hard to forge ahead in 2023 and the company will craft technologies to resolve issues. However, the company could also bring some small surprises in the chipset, which remains confidential from Huawei.

Chipset Manufacturing Equipment Ban:
According to a Bloomberg report, the U.S. has secured a deal with Netherlands and Japan to tighten access of chipset manufacturing technologies for China. This new move is designed to limit China’s ability to come up with a breakthrough in chip production technology.
Amid this situation, firms such as Huawei are an example of U.S. chip control restrictions and the extent that the U.S. has gone to control Chinese tech makers’ progress in the global telecom market.
Since 2019, the U.S. is continuously imposing restrictions on Huawei. Thereafter, Huawei lost access to Google Mobile Services (GMS) and the ability to print new Kirin chips via Taiwan’s TSMC.
The result of these actions caused a major drop in Huawei smartphone sales and the firm had to announce the ending of Kirin. Thus relying on Qualcomm is the sole option for the company and since 2021, Huawei is using Snapdragon semiconductors for all of its new devices.

Honor 90 series could launch in May
Honor continues to launch new smartphones among consumers and the company could launch its next smartphone lineup, Honor 90 series around May.
According to the input coming from Weibo tipster Classmateguan, Honor 90 series could launch by the end of May. It’s expected that this lineup will be empowered over Honor 80 series, and the feedback from customers will help the company to achieve its aim.
The tipster reveals that Honor 90 devices will bring dual speakers and an Optical image stabilization anti-shake camera system. The smartphone lineup will be enhanced until the launch event and we could expect major improvements in video shooting.
It is anticipated that the Honor 90 series won’t disappoint customers and will lead the smartphone market further in a new direction. Meanwhile, Honor has not made an official announcement.
Honor 80 series:
Last year, Honor launched Honor 80 series featuring a beautiful desing that includes a brand new center, pill shape punch-hole display design, 120Hz high refresh rate, high-frequency PWM dimming, and a hyperbolic screen that supports 1.07 billion colors.
