Honor Tablet V8 and V7 getting October 2023 security patch update

Honor Tablet V8

Honor Tablet V8 and V7 are getting a new software update with MagicOS 6.1.0.210 and 6.1.0.123 versions respectively with October 2023 security patches. However, the changelog doesn’t include any major software changes for the corresponding users.

  • Honor Tablet V8 WiFi version BRT-W09
  • Honor Tablet V7 5G version KRJ2-AN00
  • Honor Tablet V7 WiFi version KRJ2-W09

This new MagicOS version is rolling out in batches and users need to download the required base software update in order to request a new MagicOS update.

After the upgrade, the system will perform self-optimization adaptation, which may cause the device to sometimes experience problems such as heating, fast power consumption, freezing, or slow charging. Don’t worry about the above situations. It will recover automatically after 2 to 3 days.

Honor Magic V8 and V7 tablet devices are still waiting for MagicOS 7 software release but Honor has not confirmed this rollout for the time being.
