April EMUI security update released for Honor Play users

Earlier this month, Honor Play got a major calling feature – VoWiFi/WiFi in India and now the company has started to roll out another update for the users of Honor Play.

This new update for Honor Play improve system security with Android security patches. The update will expand to the global market gradually.

This update integrates the Android security patches released in April 2020 for improved system security.

April 2020 security update includes patches from Google and brings fixes to 5 critical, 12 high, and 1 medium level of Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE).

Honor Play receiving the April EMUI security update with version 9.1.0.378 and the update weighs at 215MB.

Via Settings:

Open Settings
Click on ‘System’
Click on ‘Software update’
Click on ‘CHECK FOR UPDATES’
Click on ‘Download and install’

Via Support:

Open Support (HiCare) app
Click on ‘Services’ tab
Click on ‘Update’
Click on ‘CHECK FOR UPDATES’
Click on ‘Download and install’
