Honor Magic 8 Pro Air hits Geekbench with impressive chip scores
Honor Magic 8 Pro Air has now surfaced on Geekbench for the first time, with a flagship chipset and 16GB RAM. The first listing reveals the overall chip performance and some other crucial parameters of the device, days before the official unveiling.
Unlike the other Magic 8 siblings, the new Airy device is running on the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor at its full speed. And the scores are quite impressive.
The Honor Magic 8 Pro Air (LDY-AN00) hits Geekbench scores, including 2969 points in single-core and 9892 points in multi-core. MagicOS 10.0 (Android 16) optimization is expected to take these scores even beyond, along with improving efficiency.
Dimensity 9500 chip owns an octa-core architecture with a 1+3+4 CPU configuration. The GPU details are currently missing from the listing. But the CPU cores are:
- One large core @ 4.21GHz
- Three medium cores @ 3.50GHz
- Four small cores @ 2.70GHz
Alongside the flagship chip with a base frequency of 2.70GHz, the Magic 8 Pro Air phone has 16GB RAM with three storage variants: 256GB, 512GB, aand 1TB.

Meanwhile, the latest Geekbench listing suggests that the device will bring a significant performance boost to users. It might not be as strong as the Magic 8 Pro. Yet it may offer better operation fluency than other Air rivals in the market.
Honor is launching its first-ever Air handset to break Apple’s monopoly in the market. It aims to prove that even Android can make good Air phones. And the competition is really worth witnessing.
