Honor Magic 6 reportedly testing variable aperture camera technology

Variable aperture is an amazing camera tech and only Huawei has popularized the variable aperture camera system at the moment but soon it might change with the release of the Honor Magic 6 series.

It is reported that the Honor Magic 6 series is also testing variable aperture camera technology. However, there are no specifics about the lowest and the highest aperture range that the camera will offer.

Huawei’s latest flagship phone – Huawei Mate 60 Pro uses a 50-megapixel main camera with variable aperture ranging from f/1.4 to f/4.0 aperture. The camera module also has optical image stabilization for the main camera.

Variable aperture helps you to switch between different apertures to capture an image. This gives you more control over sensitive camera settings such as light, depth, and camera angles. Huawei phones can switch between 10 aperture sizes in the above-mentioned aperture range.

Honor Magic 6 Series:

During the Qualcomm Summit 2023, Honor CEO, Zhao Ming AKA George Zhao revealed that the new Honor Magic 6 series will come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. Zhao also demonstrated the new AI capabilities using large models with 7 billion parameters.

It will come with features such as smart eye glance, which tracks users’ eye movement and allows them to operate through the on-screen content with just a glance.

Meanwhile, the an on-device AI assistant that could help you create a video based on voice commands and different sorting features. A live image leak of the testing Honor Magic 6 Pro model shows that the phone has a quad-curve display and pill shape front cutout in the center of the screen.

According to the information, the Honor Magic 6 series could launch later this year but there are no official dates announced at the moment.
