December 2021 HarmonyOS security update released for Honor Play 4T Pro

Honor Play 4T Pro powered by Kirin 710A processor is receiving a new HarmonyOS update that mainly installs the security patch released in December 2021. This update protects the device against threats and provides better systems security.

The December 2021 update for Honor Play 4T comes with the latest HarmonyOS version 2.0.0.211, which is upgraded from 2.0.0.210 in China. Besides the security improvement, this update doesn’t bring any other changes to the system.

So, what’re the fixes with December 2021 HarmonyOS security improvements?

Well, it brings fixes for 1 CVE in framework, 2 CVEs in Kernel, 3 CVEs in the system, 3 CVEs in applications, and 62 CVEs in the third-party libraries.

On the other hand, Huawei has recently rolled out the December 2021 security update for Honor Play 4T smartphone, which is still running on the Magic UI 3.1 software system. However, its top model Honor Play 4T Pro upgraded over the HarmonyOS system and performance well.

Before updating, please make sure that your phone will be charged at least 50% and maintain enough storage on the device. Also, we recommend you take a backup of important data and keep patience.

HOW TO UPDATE:

Download via Settings:

• Open Settings
• Click on the System & Updates
• Open Software update
• Tap on Check for updates option
• If an update is available, click on Download and install
• After installation Reboot the device

Download via My Huawei app:

• Open the My Huawei app on your device
• Go to the Update
• Follow the on-screen instructions

Honor Play 4T:

Honor Play 4T was launched on 9th April 2020. The phone comes with a 6.39-inch display with a resolution of 720x1560p, equipped with an octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 710A processor. It comes with 6GB of RAM, 128GB of inbuilt storage, and packs with a 4000mAh non-removable battery.

This phone measures 159.81 x 76.13 x 8.13mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 176.00 grams. In terms of camera, the Honor Play 4T has a 48MP + 2MP camera system on the rear side with autofocus. It sports an 8-megapixel camera on the front for selfies. The Honor Play 4T runs Magic UI 3.1 is based on Android 10

In terms of connectivity, it includes Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, Bluetooth v5.00, USB OTG, Micro-USB, 3G, and 4G with active 4G on both SIM cards.
