CXMT records strong growth in Q2 2026 global DRAM and HBM market
Counterpoint has released a new report on the Q2 2026 global DRAM and HBM market, where Samsung has topped the list, and CXMT shows a stable and significant growth hike amid the stringent memory problems. Here are the details.
According to the information, CXMT has achieved 10% of the global DRAM and HBM market share in Q2 2026, up from 8% in the first quarter of this year.
The report says the Chinese chipmaker has demonstrated significant growth in the memory market, from 4% in the same period of the previous year (Q2 2025).
In the latest edition, CXMT is standing in fourth place, giving strong competition to top global brands like Samsung, SK Hynix, Micron, and Nanya.
Samsung has gained the top spot with 38% of the market share. The company has maintained its lead with the same share figure as of Q1 2026. It is seeing a rise from 33% market share obtained in the second quarter of last year.
SK Hynix ranked second with a market share of 25%. The chipmaker dropped by 4% this quarter, though its upcoming memory processor could help it regain the shares in the coming months.
Micron is third on the list with 24% of the market share, up from 22% in the same period last year. Summing up the overall DRAM market condition, the report says:
“The DRAM market in Q2 2026 showed a growth trend of 57% compared to the previous quarter and 385% compared to the same period of the previous year.”
