Today, Huawei launched EMUI 13 and it comes with a variety of new features that are similar to HarmonyOS 3. It means you will finally get a full HarmonyOS operating system on your Huawei smartphone.

EMUI 13 is a complete remodeling of the past version and it will take you on a journey with a whole new user experience and the features that lacked in the past version.

The most exciting part of the new EMUI version includes swipe-up gesture support for the app icons, which allows you to add app widgets on the home screen. The widgets are there to bring you instant access to any app without requiring you to open them.

The sweetest addition to EMUI 13 comes in the form of widget groups and widget stacking that allows you to keep the home screen clean and tidy. These features were recently added to HarmonyOS 3. However, their inclusion in the new EMUI will surely stand users on their toes.

One of the most anticipated improvements goes to resizable large folders, you can now expand large folders into different sizes to increase accessibility.

Meanwhile, a feature such as super hub will make your file-sharing user experience simple and fast.

After the experiment of Device+ on EMUI 12, Huawei has finally launched EMUI 13 with the Super Device feature for global phone users. This is a unique addition and it’ll help you to control all of your smart connected devices via one super device (phone).

There are new camera features and seamless music sharing for immersive entertainment and mobile photography.

SuperStorage is a feature that I’ve my eyes on, as it claims to clear up to 20GB of storage space by stacking duplicate files and compressing less-used apps. The entire process frees up space for optimized phone use cases.

EMUI 13 will be a security specialist and will boast the phone’s security with a new privacy and security center, while the sensitive information removal tool is just an innovation of the ages.

We’re excited about the EMUI 13 but we’ll also have to wait for the rollout schedule to come out. Whenever that happens, we’ll keep you posted.
