EMUI 13

Last month, Huawei began testing EMUI 13 for global smartphones, the early adopter version allows you to become a tester and jump into the latest features before everyone else.

Currently, Huawei announced EMUI 13 beta activity in Malaysia and the Philippines, which is actually good. Also, Huawei recently begin to rollout the first EMUI 13 software for the selected smartphone owners. These are:

  • Huawei P50 Pro
  • Huawei P50 Pocket
  • Huawei Mate Xs 2

However, the testing slots are limited and it may take some time to reach the stability mode for EMUI 12 phones. Despite the fact EMUI 13 is now available in beta, it’s not open to all Huawei smartphone users in the global market.

How? Because it’s a gradual mission and Huawei has not even shared the upgrade roadmap.

As revealed by the changelog, the first beta EMUI 13 comes with over 6GB of the giant OTA update package. It consists of several features aiming to improve your user experience.

Still, people in Europe are waiting for their turn to enter the beta pool and we don’t have any confirmation on that availability at the moment.

If you want to become an EMUI 13 beta tester, you need to download the Huawei Beta app and join the EMUI 13 beta project under the “Me” tab. Just to reiterate, the program is not open to all countries.

Also, if you already participated in the beta activity and waiting for the OTA update. Make sure to gather a backup of important files, to prevent unnecessary data loss.

EMUI 13:

EMUI 13 brings a brand new set of changes in features. The new service widgets, swipe-up app gestures, and super devices are making their debut for the first time in EMUI phones. These combinations of functionalities provide you with a new user experience over EMUI 12.
