Today, Google has released a new minor update to the ongoing development of Android 11 and Android 11 Developer Preview with the Developer Preview 2.1.

In this Developer Preview, Google has added fixes for general features and apps (via 9to5Google).

General:

  • Fixed an issue where a crash would occur when long pressing to select an element within the recent apps overview.
  • Fixed an issue where the status bar could crash in the background if its components weren’t all initialized yet.
  • Fixed an issue where too many WindowTokens were created by SystemUI causing jankiness and dropped frames when navigating and scrolling apps.

Apps:

  • Fixed an issue where the Wear OS app could crash when trying to pair a Wear OS device.
  • Fixed an issue where the Settings app could crash after tapping the search bar in the app.

The Android 11 Developer Preview program runs from February 2020 until the final public release to Android Open Source Project (AOSP) and OEMs, planned for Q3 2020.

Realme UI 3 (Android 12): Eligible Devices

Chinese phone maker – Realme has launched its latest custom software skin – Realme UI 3 based on the Android 12 operating system. The Realme UI 3 comes with an array of the latest features and enhancements, as well as power packed performance over Realme UI 2

Specifically, Realme UI 3 comes with a new fluid space UI design including a spatial layout interface. It has a new app permission recording including approximate location, there’s also phone manager 2.0. On the other hand, you get New Global Theme Color, personalization for AOD, AI smooth Engine, Smooth animation, 3D icons with rich color rendering.

There’s also an upgrade to the system apps, don’t forget the Omoji, these are now coming with enhancements, consisting of the better imaging system.

According to RPRNA, the Realme UI 3.0 will first be tested on top Realme models including the Realme GT, and then expand for other devices gradually. The roadmap reveals that the Realme UI 3 will be tested from October 2021 and extends toward the second quarter of 2022.
