In the past few days, Huawei fans have remained more curious about the 5G cases than the ultimate flagship lineup. Somewhere this curiousness is obvious as these cases will ignite the spark of 5G services in the Mate 50 series that limits itself to the 4G boundaries.

China Telecom has released three 5G cases. The case with model number SY108-618 is competent for the standard Mate 50 and the Mate 50E. It has a dimension of 167.2mm x 79.5mm x 13.6mm, and a weight of 53g. It avails in two shades – graphite black, and metallic gray.
The next cover which exhibits the model number SY108-658 is appropriate for the Mate 50 Pro handset. It has the same colors and weight as the standard version case. However, the dimension differs from 167.8mm x 78.1mm x 14.1mm.
Last comes the case for Mate 50 RS Porsche Design. It holds the model number SY108-618 and its measurements are identical to the Pro variant. Yet, it weighs 58g, with an octagonal rear camera gap.
Shuyuan Technology has created these cases. Besides, the ‘SY’ letters in the model numbers indicate ‘soyealink’. Further, these 5G facilitating elements are avail for 799 yuan [113.43 USD]. In terms of performance, it showcases the downlink rate as 1.9Gbps and the uplink rate as 750Mbps.

Huawei Mate X3 spy shot reveals Mate 50 like rear camera
We’re busy covering the Huawei P60 series but there’s a new foldable phone soon making our way. Now, a spy shot of the upcoming Huawei Mate X3 foldable phone has appeared online.
A Weibo tipster shared a spy shot of the Huawei Mate X3 camera system, which reveals a quad camera arrangement, similar to what we’ve seen in the Mate 50 series but with a slightly different placement.
The periscope camera is now settled on the top right, while the other is likely to be a main camera, ultra-wide angle, and macro camera. It also has a wide LED flash.
To be mentioned, the device in the image is a testing model and resides under a protective cover. Therefore, we can’t see an exact look at the external design.
Aside from the camera specifications, we can expect that the phone will come with an XMAGE imaging system and there will be new improvements to the photography section. From the appearance, we can confirm that it has a side opening and closing mechanism, which is exactly the same as the Mate X2.
The tipster anticipates that this new foldable smartphone is coming soon and it will still be powered by Snapdragon 8+ GEN 1 chipset. The chipset has octa-core architecture including Octa-core, 1 × Cortex-X2 at 3.2 GHz + 3 × Cortex-A710 at 2.75 GHz + 4 × Cortex-A510 at 2.0 GHz.
The past report reveals that Huawei Mate X3 will adopt a light design with a bigger battery capacity. There is also improvement planned for the hinge system to provide a better opening and closing experience for the customers.
Furthermore, Huawei has been confused about the launch of this foldable device, as it is already preparing for the unveiling of the P60 series. These two launches could clash with each other but it’s more likely that the phone maker to launch the Mate X3 ahead of the next P series flagship.

Huawei P60 series camera sensors to generate powerful capabilities
Huawei P60 series will come with a powerful camera system and it’ll lead throughout the smartphone division with brand-new camera sensors to enhance the mobile photography experience.
Weibot tipster DigitalChatStation reveals that the Huawei P60 series will come with Sony IMX888 main camera. While it’s expected to be the first among others to bring this new camera sensor to the market.
Past information reveals that the main camera will have the capability of variable aperture. So, there will be a second sensor in work, which is IMX789. It will provide a large f/1.4 aperture stop to bring in the highest possible light intake.
It will also have a 50-megapixel IMX 858 ultra wide-angle camera to capture all of your subjects into one photograph, so you won’t miss any of them. However, we are expecting slight improvements with the P60 series as compared to the P50 lineup.
On the other hand, there’s an OV64B telephoto camera that supports 3.5x optical zoom. To be mentioned, an OV64B image sensor is used with a 64-megapixel (MP) camera. It has a 0.7-micron pixel size and a 1/2” optical format.
The tipster revealed that the specifications from the Huawei P60 series testing model are the same as the final product. However, the pixel counts and image rendering could be different once the camera system is finalized.
Similar to the past flagship devices, these features and camera specifications could post the P60 series above all. Looking at past leaks, the Huawei P60 series cover reveals a new camera design that is different from its predecessor.
It is a rectangular camera bump with a large circle in the center, it also has various openings for secondary lenses. From the appearance, the camera system of the Huawei P60 series is promising a powerful performance but we’ll have to wait to know more on this matter.
For now, Huawei has not revealed official details about the launch date but a past report reveals that the Huawei P60 series could unveil in the first quarter of 2023, somewhere in March.

Huawei 88W charger will be used in flagship devices
Huawei is preparing to change the outlook of chargers for premium devices with 88W chargers and it’s expected that Huawei will adopt this charging protocol in the mainstream for all of its upcoming flagships.
Other than the 88W charger, Huawei will also use a super fast 100W charger for smartphones. However, it’s primarily been used in the Nova series for the past two years.
Looking more into the matter, Huawei also has a 120W charger but there’s no information available about the release. More information reveals that Huawei uses moderate speed charging protocols to ensure safety for consumers and long battery life.
Still, 88W and 100W provide a faster phone charging experience than 66W packed with P50 series and Mate 60 series.
Recently, Huawei certified a new 88W charger through Telecommunication Equipment’s Network Access Management (TENAA) with an 88W output. The listing reveals that the charger has a model number – HW-200440C00 with 4.4A/20VDC = 88W charging capacity.
The charger supports 10W, 40W, and 66W backward charging compatibility. It is manufactured by ASAP Technology (JIANGXI) co. Limited China. Below you can check more information about the charger.
HW-200440C00 supports input: 100-240VAC, 50/60Hz, 2.4A. It outputs: USB-C: 5VDC, 3A or 9VDC, 3A or 10VDC, 4A or 11VDC, 6A MAX or 12VDC, 3A or 15VDC, 3A MAX or 20VDC, 4.4A MAX.
