Xiaomi to end HyperOS updates support for these 7 devices in April

Xiaomi is about to end HyperOS updates support for 7 more devices in April. The company often pushes certain devices to the EQL (end-of-life) section due to their incompatibility with major software upgrades, and the latest step is no exception.

As noted by XiaomTime, 7 more Xiaomi devices will no longer get HyperOS update support, starting from April. Unfortunately, some of these devices are quite efficient and seem perfect to run on the upcoming software versions.

The company promises effective but limited software support for its devices as per their life span. Once a device completes its life cycle, the company puts it on the EQL list. It’s also a way to draw consumers’ attention to the newest products.

EQL-based devices will continue to operate normally. Although they won’t receive any new features, improvements, or fixes when suffering from nasty bugs.

Xiaomi has pushed many Redmi and POCO devices to the end-of-life support list starting this year. Now it is adding a few more models before the official HyperOS 2.2 rollout.

You can check the 7 devices that won’t get new updates in the future:

  • POCO F4 GT
  • Redmi K50 Gaming
  • Redmi 10A
  • Redmi Note 11S
  • Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G
  • Xiaomi 11i
  • Xiaomi 11 HyperCharge

Note that some of the device like POCO F4 GT and Redmi K50 Gaming will receive an Android 14-based HyperOS 2 upgrade before joining the EQL list.

Users carrying any of the above-listed models can either continue with the same device without enjoy any new software benefits or can upgrade to a newly launched Redmi, POCO, or Xiaomi flagship handsets as per their preference.
