Xiaomi pauses new HyperOS update rollouts for this week

Xiaomi pauses new HyperOS software update distribution and 2.2 version’s beta activity for some time. The company took this step due to a Chinese festival, allowing its employees and team members to enjoy with their family and friends.
Qingming, or Tomb Sweeping Day, is a traditional Chinese holiday. It has been celebrated to honor ancestors with many activities like cleaning tombs and offering food and flowers. It is celebrated on the 15th day after Spring.
Since Xiaomi is a Chinese company, it is closing its software development to allow employees to visit their families and enjoy the traditional festival.
As per XiaomiTime, Xiaomi pauses the HyperOS update rollouts and beta activity due to this festival. The festival will fall on April 4. Hereafter, the company may resume its software distribution and beta testing activities.
The company further mentioned that it has noted the valuable user feedback and will try to integrate these suggestions in the new approaching versions.
Note that this week, Xiaomi phone users will not receive:
- Any HyperOS beta update
- Regular updates will go live after the festival
- Users can’t send more feedback during this time
- Previous user feedback will be processed accordingly
The HyperOS update rollout halt could be a disappointment to those waiting for the next beta build. But don’t worry, as the company has penned down your suggestions and will likely implement them in its software after this week.
