Huawei Pocket 2 foldable is in the making and could soon get a rival in the form of Xiaomi MIX Flip with a similar appearance. Although we may find noteworthy changes in the overall specifications of both major folding smartphones.

As per the inputs shared by @SmartPikachu, Xiaomi is working on a new flip-flop handset, which is likely to be named MIX Flip. Describing the foldable, the tipster says that it could be identical to Huawei’s new folding device to some extent.

Eventually, the Xiaomi MIX Flip could possess simple design aesthetics with two giant circular modules on the rear side, just like the Huawei Pocket 2 foldable appearance.

Adding more, the tipster says that the first circular frame will consist of three lenses. Whereas, the second module will act as an external screen and would be defined by a dedicated software tag. This foldable may use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip.

The optical structure of Xiaomi MIX Flip may consist of a main shooter, an ultra-wide lens, as well as an upright telephoto sensor. Besides, the device is also hearsay to support satellite connectivity support and an upgraded display solution.

Notably, most of the specs seem close to the Huawei Pocket 2. Also, the design segments follow Huawei’s Pocket pattern to some extent. Perhaps, Xiaomi is planning to be a tough contender for the Pocket 2 model.  Though Huawei has its own strategies that will make its folding device appealing in every aspect.

The device is rumored to launch by the end of this month. Consequently, it may use the Kirin 9000s chipset for bearing 5G capabilities as well as satellite-oriented features for texting. Meanwhile, the camera section could adopt a Hyperspectral lens over a telephoto shooter.
