Following the launch of the MIUI 13 Android software system, Xiaomi released the first MIUI 13 beta update for eligible devices with build version 21.12.28. The update arrived with several new changes and improvements. At the same time, it brings Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra users wireless charging issues.

Launched in March 2021, Mi 11 Ultra is a famous high-end smartphone from the Chinese tech maker. It comes with all of the features and internal specs that we could expect from a smartphone of its caliber. Among them, is the battery that has a new generation of battery life.

Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra equips an impressive 5000mAh high-capacity battery along with 67W wireless fast charging technology. But after the MIUI 13 beta version 21.12.28, the company has set the Mi 11 Ultra wireless charging to a maximum of 50W (via xiaomiui).

Moving on, the Chinese government has recently introduced new rules on the side of battery life. According to the new regulations, from January 1, 2022, all mobile and portable wireless charging devices produced, imported, sold, and used in China should not exceed 50W. This is because of the risk posed by fast wireless charging standards.

The Chinese government statement says that before the release of this regulation, chargers with wireless fast charging over 50W could in principle be used as long as they are not removed. Even with this statement, Xiaomi is ignoring the previously launched 80W wireless fast chargers.

Xiaomi fast charging technology:

Xiaomi’s 120W wireless fast charging technology can fully charge a phone with a 4000mAh battery in just 15 minutes. It can charge the battery to 10% in just a minute and to 50% in only 3 minutes.
