Xiaomi likely to restart HyperOS updates rollout from mid-February

Xiaomi will resume the paused HyperOS updates rollout by mid-February. A new input has recently shed light on how the company will proceed with the firmware distribution for its devices after the Chinese New Year 2025 celebration.
The Chinese OEM has halted the HyperOS updates rollout following the New Year 2025. While the company made this step to give a break to its employees, Xiaomi phone users were quite disappointed as they were eagerly waiting for the major upgrade.
Apart from the HyperOS 2.0 rollout, the company has also delayed the latest January 2025 security patch distribution for eligible Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO models.
HyperOS 2.1 global release is also a part of pending updates. Inputs reveal the first batch of HyperOS 2.1 global rollout was scheduled for mid-February. But the company has pushed back the timeline due to the Chinese Spring Festival holidays.

Resuming Date?
As noted by XiaomiTime, the company will begin its industry operations on February 12 or 15. Hereafter, the tech giant will restart the HyperOS updates rollout by mid-February for Xiaomi devices (probably between February 16 to 20).
Simply put, Xiaomi will get back on the normal update track after February 16. Early inputs also reveal that HyperOS 2.1 will live in the global market later next month. The first batch of devices includes the top-end models of the Xiaomi family. However, there’s a twist.
