Xiaomi HyperOS 3 Rollout Schedule: Check all Devices

Xiaomi has officially announced the HyperOS 3 software upgrade and shared the schedule as well as eligible devices. This update is based on Android 16 and comes with a bunch of new features and AI upgrades.

The home screen has been redesigned with new icons and better widgets, providing a modern look to the interface. HyperOS 3 introduces Hyperisland, which is a live activity tracker and somewhat a ripoff of the dynamic island from iOS. Users can expand these live activities and switch between them.

It has a new addition called Touch to share, which enables two devices to touch and share photos, videos, files, and Wi-Fi passwords. This feature even supports Apple devices.

Some cross-ecosystem feature allows you to run Xiaomi phone apps on an iPad with full support for iPad multitasking. Furthermore, you can connect an iPhone to a Xiaomi hotspot with one tap and locate your Xiaomi phone from there as well.

This HyperOS version embraces generative AI, and users can now implement these with new smart screen recognition, choose from multiple writing styles, and even conduct DeepThink mode writing thanks to Google Gemini integration. The AI expands to speech recognition to enhance voice by reducing background noise and transcribing the recording in real-time.

The phone maker has focused on some new personalization stuff, such as AI Dynamic wallpapers, which is a very interesting way to put your favorite wallpaper on the lock screen with various clock styles. The Gallery app is making itself more user-friendly with new optimizations, including 10 categories like food and landscape, while suggesting smart recommendations for search efficiency.
