Xiaomi begins HyperOS 2.2 internal testing for global phones

Xiaomi has started testing HyperOS 2.2 internally for global devices. The company has already rolled out the first 2.2 closed beta version for the top-end models in China. Now, it is preparing to expand the new software build globally.

According to XiaomiTime, HyperOS 2.2 internal testing version is now open for global Xiaomi phones. It is currently making its way to the flagship Xiaomi 15.

The company is rolling out the first HyperOS 2.2 internal beta in Europe to the Xiaomi 15 with the OS2.0.200.1 version. It is available to certain beta testers, mainly the company’s official software testing team, to inspect bugs and issues.

It’s quite surprising news as the company hasn’t pushed the stable 2.2 build in China yet and has started internal testing globally. The company’s latest move shows that it is improving its software rollout strategy for Xiaomi phone users.

HyperOS 2.2 is a collection of UI changes that improves app animation and launch time, transition effects, wallpapers with blur effect, new oriental-inspired lock screen templates, enhanced fingerprint unlock animations, and more.

HyperOS 2.2 is based on Android 15 but promises new changes and features for the user interface. Note that even though the company initiated the 2.2 beta activity globally, it’ll first reach the Chinese consumers, expanding to global devices.
