Over the past years, smartphone companies invented various charging technologies including wired and wireless but what if you can charge a Huawei phone with both of them together?

Chinese patent office has recently published a Huawei patent with application number CN115765061A. It was applied on September 2, 2021 and published on March 7, 2023.

The trademark has the title “charging method, electronic device, and computer-readable storage medium”. The patent description reveals a charging technology, an electronic device and a computer-readable storage medium.

In contrast, the electronic device is respectively connected to a wired charger and a wireless charger through a wired charging interface and a wireless charging interface.

The wired charger charges the electronic device through the first charging circuit, and the wireless charger charges the electronic device through the second charging circuit.

Below you can check the technical specification:

Detecting the charging capability data of the wired charger and the wireless charger. Calculating the charging power value when using the first charging circuit and the second charging circuit to charge simultaneously and/or calculating the charging power value using the first charging circuit or the second charging circuit.

The charging power value when the circuit is charging obtains the maximum charging power value and negotiates to use of the first charging circuit and/or the second charging circuit corresponding to the maximum charging power value to charge the electronic device. It can access different types of chargers and adapt multiple simultaneous chargers.

Why?

Now the question is, why do you want to use wired and wireless Huawei chargers simultaneously? Maybe it could charge faster and more efficiently.

It’s hard to find its use case, perhaps an 88W and 100W charge could be sufficient for people who want to fill up the battery fast enough. Since it’s patent, its use remains doubtful but we’ll keep you posted.
