Windows 11 Launched: Brings brand new user interface and a new set features

On June 24, 2021, Microsoft announced a brand new version of the Windows operating system, Windows 11. This major software upgrade brings a brand new user interface and lots of new additions.

So, without further ado, let’s explore the new feature of Windows 11.

Start Menu in Center:

Windows 11 comes with a redesigned and rebuilt start menu and puts it in the middle of the task by default. there are also quick access app icons and more available in the bottom row.

New layouts for Multi-Tasking:

With the new Snap Layout, Snap Groups, and Desktops, users can multitask and stay on top of their desired tasks. these features designed to help you organize your Windows and optimize the on-screen experience.

You can also create separate Desktops for different use cases and customize them such as – Desktop for work, gaming, or school.

Connect with ease and on a blink:

You can now use the new Chat app from Microsft Teams directly from the taskbar, it allows you to text, chat, voice, or video with all of your personal contacts, anywhere, no matter the platform or device they’re on, across Windows, Android or iOS.

This new feature also works son devices that don’t even have the Teams app and can connect via two-way SMS.

Gaming With Performance:

With Windows 11, you can take the gaming performance to the next level, the Windows platform currently hosts hundreds of millions of people around the world and it would be better if gamers get more convenient while accessing new games.

Windows 11 unlocks the full potential of your system’s hardware, this comes with the inclusion of gaming technologies such as DirectX 12 Ultimate, which can enable breathtaking, immersive graphics at high frame rates; DirectStorage for faster load times and more detailed game worlds; and Auto HDR for a wider, more vivid range of colors for a truly captivating visual experience.

The Xbox Game Pass for PC or Ultimate, gamers get access to over 100 high-quality PC games with new games added all the time.

Widgets:

The new Widgets system in Windows 11 brings personalized feed powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Microsoft Edge browser. The new widget allows you to access regular feeds including news, weather, and notifications from the side panel.

Once you open your personalized feed it slides across your screen similar to a sheet of glass so it doesn’t interrupt your current task.

Windows Store:

Hm… in the past version, Windows Store has been one of the major disappointing moments of the Windows operating system, but the company has redesigned it in Windows 11.

The new Microsoft Store is your single trusted location for apps and content to watch, create, play, work, and learn. it’s been rebuilt for speed and with an all-new design that is beautiful and simple to use.

The new Windows Store brings you more apps than ever before, making content including – apps, games, shows, movies easier to search for and discover with curated stories and collections.

The platform will soon be joined by first and third-party apps including Microsoft Teams, Visual Studio, Disney+ Adobe Creative Cloud, Zoom, and Canva to the Microsoft Store – all offering new experiences for the consumers.

Furthermore, Microsoft also announced to bring Android apps to Windows for the first time. Starting later this year, people will be able to discover Android apps in the Microsoft Store and download them through the Amazon Appstore including different applications right away from your PC.

Windows Upgrade and Availability:

Upgrade to Windows 11 will be like taking a Windows 10 update. The familiar management experiences you have in place – like Microsoft Endpoint Manager, cloud configuration, Windows Update for Business, and Autopilot.

Windows 11 will be available through a free upgrade for eligible Windows 10 PCs and on new PCs beginning this holiday. To check if your current Windows 10 PC is eligible for the free upgrade to Windows 11, visit Windows.com to download the PC Health Check app.

The free upgrade will begin to roll out to eligible Windows 10 PCs this holiday and continuing into 2022. And next week, we’ll begin to share an early build of Windows 11 to the Windows Insider Program.
