WhatsApp is working on a new feature that will allow users to select some parts or words of chats. The feature can be called “Chat Message Selection.” It is currently available to limited beta testers via the Google Play Beta Program.

Spotted in the Android 2.25.18.3 beta version, WhatsApp is bringing an ability that will let you select and copy specific words of chats. One can even reply on these selected words instead of the entire message for better clarification.

The feature is already available to iOS users. However, WhatsApp is now sending this significant capability to the Android device owners via a beta update.

According to the details, users can press and hold a particular message to trigger the new message selection feature. You can either highlight a few words or an entire sentence using this tool instead of copying the whole message and deleting words.

Users can opt for this new feature across all types of chats, whether it is an individual one, a group conversation, or a channel. It is helpful at times when you are in a hurry and don’t want to go through the lengthy process of copy-pasting the entire message and removing unwanted sections manually.

The feature is currently in the development phase and will take time to reach all Android users. Although you can keep an eye on the Google Play Store to install the latest app version as soon as possible.
