WhatsApp Feature

WhatsApp is further easing the status update creation with the use of the share menu. Yes, now need to follow a long procedure, just to share your favorite moments on your chat app wall. All you need is one tap, and it’s done!

Creating status is easy when you already know what media you have to post. But what if you need any photo or video, or another app? It becomes a time-consuming task with lengthy processes.

One has to download or save media from other apps, then visit WhatsApp, select the Updates tab, and then get the chance to upload the content for their contacts.

But WhatsApp is here to save you from this frustration with a new feature that will let you share status updates right from the Android share menu. The new capability is rolling out with the 2.25.20.3 beta version.

Whenever a user tries to share a photo or media through the Android share sheet, they will see the option of “My WhatsApp Status”.

Tapping on this option will immediately open the media on the WhatsApp status editor, where you can edit the image or video with text, emojis, stickers, and more, before uploading it.

The new feature is currently in the beta phase and available to some Android testers through the Google Play Beta Program. But it will make way for other users via a stable release in the time ahead.
