WhatsApp to introduce ‘edit album caption’ feature, but there’s a catch

WhatsApp ensures that users can get the best experience with the chat app. It is now exploring a new feature that can make the album-sending operations more useful. WhatsApp may soon enable users to edit an ‘already sent’ album caption.
As noted by WABetaInfo, the company is readying a new option to edit album captions. The feature is being tested and rolled out with the Android beta 2.25.3.12 version.
Captions play a significant role in images or videos. Users often add funny or useful captions to pictures before sending them to the receiver. These are generally a short description of the image or the media for a clearer perspective.
But often we make certain mistakes in captions that require immediate corrections. Thanks to WhatsApp – the company is preparing a feature on this matter.
The edit album caption capability will allow WhatsApp users to correct or edit the caption. A similar feature is available for single media messages. Now the company is bringing the same ability to albums (more than one picture) caption.
However, there’s a catch. You can only edit the description within 15 minutes of sending them. Hereafter, the feature won’t let you make any corrections.
It is still a good option and will let you correct quick typos or add missing details in the caption. The feature is currently reaching some testers via the Google Play Beta Program. It may soon be available to a wider range of users with a stable update.
