WhatsApp Message Summaries feature

WhatsApp is finally rolling out message summaries to shield your private chats in every aspect. The company has just announced the feature on its official blog, and it will soon release it to Android and iOS users through a stable update.

Often, WhatsApp on our phones gets bombarded with many important chats related to meetings, family groups, or a friend who is planning to catch up with you.

Getting various messages at the same time could lead to confusion as well as irritation from attending to every conversation. In such a state, the WhatsApp message summaries feature can play wonders for you.

Meta AI is bringing a new “Summaries” option to quickly sum up your unread messages in a chat. The feature uses Private Processing tech that enables Meta to generate a response without even peeking into your chats, maintaining privacy.

Apart from WhatsApp and Meta, others in the chat will also not get a hint that you have summarized their messages in any way. Note that this useful feature remains off by default, so you can have full control of your WhatsApp chats.

The feature supports the English language at present and is reaching the US. But it will soon make its way to the other parts of the globe.
