WhatsApp has recently kicked off a new 2.23.25.20 beta version for Android that installs the ability to share status updates on Instagram. The latest addition is available via the Google Play Store to a handful of testers and will soon reach the general public.

So far, it was only possible to share the WhatsApp status on Facebook. However, the company is now expanding this facility to Instagram as well. Perhaps, this enhancement will simplify the process of sharing status across different applications at the same time.

Looking into the details, the WhatsApp Status Privacy page now has a new section called ‘Share my status updates’ with two options: Facebook and Instagram. Both these apps require you to set up your account before sharing the status. Tapping any of the options in the list will directly share your status updates to the respective app.

This new functionality will not only help you save time but also optimize the consistency of sharing your content across different social media platforms. Note that this is an optional feature and users can decide if they want to enable it or not.

Currently, the sharing status updates feature is in the development phase but it will touch the stable channel in the time ahead.
