WhatsApp changing Group Info layout, adding two contact buttons

WhatsApp is continually making several changes and redesign its layout which will modernize the look and brings convenience too. After informing about the new design of the contact card, and business info, the developers are also making revising the WhatsApp Group info layout.

The information reveals that the new layout will not only have a new design but new features such as making video calls, and voice calls too. At present, there is no option available to make any call in the group info layout. However, we can make voice/video calls from the chat section.

Furthermore, there are other changes related to the group profile picture, group name, and participant list too. Before discussing them, let’s check first what’ll we are going to receive in the redesigned layout.

As we can see from the preview, the profile picture will adopt a round frame instead of a square. Users might also be able to add a background image over the profile photo, like the Facebook profile. Moving ahead, the group name will be placed just below the image flowing the participant count.

Furthermore, WhatsApp has added two buttons to start the video call and voice call. Besides, the rest options including mute notifications, custom notifications, media visibility, and more seem to be arranged as previously. However, we can’t confirm anything until hasn’t been released to the users.

Availability

As mentioned above, this layout is still in the review phase and undergoing further adjustments. That’s why WhatsApp is yet to introduce this new design for beta testers. As per the info, this redesign will be available in a future update that will release soon.

Previous Update:

In the previous update, WhatsApp informed about adding a new feature called “My Contacts Except” to the account setting. After the installation of this option, users will be able to restrict the individuals from the contact list, whom they don’t want to show their activities such as profile photo, Abut, and last seen.
