WhatsApp beta shows new chat shortcut to interact with Meta AI

WhatsApp is constantly making efforts to make Meta AI a beneficial segment for its users. The company is now testing a new shortcut capability that will enable WhatsApp users to easily chat or interact with the Meta AI either by voice or text.
Meta AI is an optional artificial intelligence service that answers queries, gives recommendations, offers creative ideas on pictures, talks about interests, and more.
In recent months, WhatsApp has tested many features that can make Meta AI more useful for users. Now, the company is releasing a new tool to enhance AI interaction.
Spotted in the Android beta 2.25.5.22 version, WhatsApp is bringing a chat and talk shortcut for Meta AI. The new capability will let you directly talk with the AI chatbot about your interests or queries. The update is available to some beta testers.
As noted by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is binging a dedicated Meta AI screen to users. One can access the new screen by pressing the Meta AI floating button in the Chats tab. Simply put, you don’t have to use the traditional chat way to access Meta AI.

Meta AI Shortcut
Earlier, tapping on the Meta AI floating button asked users to ‘Message the AI assistant’. Users need to input text to chat with the AI chatbot. But the new shortcut feature will offer a faster and direct way to engage with the chatbot via voice.
The addition will directly prompt you to the dedicated screen where you can talk with the AI bot through your voice, and it can listen. Note that the feature will only work when the dedicated screen is open.
Inputs reveal that your Android device will show a privacy indicator in the status bar whenever the Meta AI begins listening to you. No other app can alter this behavior. One can stop this mode anytime by a tap on the mic icon or using text.
One doesn’t have to enter a chat manually to interact with the AI bot and can explore a user-friendly, faster, and more intuitive experience.
