Huawei EMUI 12 features:

Huawei EMUI 12 comes with an improved and refreshed user interface derived from HarmonyOS and consists of new fonts tools, better animations, and more. It brings the latest feature, which was missing in EMUI 11 and previous versions such as Device+, large folders, and more.

Also, the EMUI 12 comes with a separate notification and control panel with a Device+ shortcut window and feature icons for direct access. With the latest version, Huawei enhances the security tool to provide better security.
