Vodafone launches 5G services in UK with Huawei

UK’s top telecom operator has now launched its 5G services around the country with the help of Huawei equipment and became UK’s second telecom to launch 5G commercial services.

Vodafone has launched 5G services in seven UK cities including Birmingham, Bristol, Liverpool Cardiff, London, Manchester, and Glasgow. This new network launch will allow consumers to access super fast internet, better AR and VR services and more.

“We are proud to be helping Vodafone open up a new world of seamless opportunities with their launch of 5G mobile services in the UK. This reinforces the UK as a 5G leader and builds on our 18-year history of supporting the digital economy here,” said Victor Zhang, Huawei Senior Vice President.

Back in May, network operator EE kicks off UK’s first ever 5G commercial network using Huawei equipment and other operators are also considering to do so.
