Bilibili and Huawei have announced cooperation to develop the HarmonyOS native app and officially kicked off the development.

Bilibili also named as B site is one of the largest video sharing websites based in Shanghai. In the first half of this year, Bilibili’s daily active users increased by 17% year-on-year to over 95 million in six months.

Meanwhile, its current total active users surpassed 319 million and its daily average video views increased by 34% year-on-year to 4.1 billion.

In August this year, Huawei announced HarmonyOS NEXT, which is a pure HarmonyOS operating system for a native HarmonyOS ecosystem.

It simply means that the company would remove Android app support from the next version of HarmonyOS, paving the way for only HarmonyOS apps.

Following this announcement, Chinese companies started recruiting HarmonyOS developers and paying high salaries to develop native applications.
