Twitter launches square profile picture feature

Twitter has long been using circular profile pictures for user accounts and today, it has made a big change. The social media account has brought in square profile picture for Twitter users.

However, you should know that the latest change comes for business accounts. According to the information, Twitter has launched new Twitter for Business to enhance the capability of businesses on Twitter.

Twitter Blue for Business subscribers will enable users to link any number of their affiliated individuals, businesses, and brands to their accounts. Once enabled, the affiliated accounts will get a small badge of their parent company’s profile picture next to the Blue or Gold verified checkmark.

Meanwhile, the Twitter business account will get a square profile picture. While individual accounts will continue to use circular profiles. The feature also helps companies and organizations to identify their affiliates better than ever.

Twitter also confirmed that Businesses can affiliate their leadership, brands, support handles, employees, or teams. Journalists, sports team players, or movie characters can all be affiliated.

Furthermore, each affiliate account will be verified and officially linked to its parent handle based on a list provided by the parent business account. Whenever the parent decides to update the record, Twitter will inform the parent business about the update charge.

For now, Twitter for Business and Blue are limited to a number of countries but the social media company is progressing fast to expand these features.
