The Swedish Post and Telecoms Authority (PTS) decided that they will not ban Huawei from participating in the country’s 5G network infrastructure development refusing US pressure.

According to the information, all network equipment vendors to participate in 5G networks must submit to an independent security review by the country’s armed forces and security services, reports Commsmea.

Sweden is the home ground to Huawei’s one fo the biggest rival – Ericsson and both of the companies will go face to face in the 5G spectrum.

The US administration has been continuously lobbying pressure on the European countries to ban Huawei but the UK and the European Union have refused to do so.
