Huawei P50 standard version is receiving the latest software update that comes HarmonyOS version 2.0.1.181SP3. According to that information, this update brings fixes for the bar code scan issue found on some P50 smartphones.

However, this new firmware only includes the bug fix and doesn’t bring security or system improvement. Talking about the issue, this problem occurs while scanning any bar code and it fails to recognize.

Some users have reported that issue to Huawei and the company has resolved it via sending an OTA update. So, users download and install the latest Huawei P50 update and get rid of this issue if you are also facing it.

HOW TO CHECK FOR UPDATE:

To download this update manually, go to Settings then System & updates, then open Software update, from here select Check for updates. If an update is available it’ll pop up on your phone and an option of Download and install will appear. Press the option and start to download.

You can also request software updates through the My Huawei app. To do this, open the My Huawei app, tap on the update, then select Check for updates, and then download and install.
