After an entire year of the initial announcement, Huawei is now releasing the stable EMUI 13 software update for its global smartphones. This update comes amid the company only nominated 11 devices for the EMUI 13 upgrade plan.

The current EMUI 13 stable update is spotted in Germany with build version 13.0.0.237 (via – Huaweiblog). The update weighs 6GB in download. This new software is released for Huawei P50 Pro but the expansion will also take place for the first batch of devices.

Speaking of which, Huawei began testing EMUI 13 for Mate Xs 2, P50 Pocket, as well as Mate 40 Pro in Europe. Still, it may take some time to reflect this new software update on all of the models.

We suggest all of these smartphone owners check for the latest software update manually. If this doesn’t work for you, then you must have to wait for the rollout to appear on your device.

EMUI 13 comes with a variety of new features over EMUI 12. It includes brand-new smart folders, which allow you to customize large folders. Now you can alter the folder in three more layouts.

Making its way the first time to global users, Huawei is also installing new service widgets. These show you key details from an application without opening the app first. The feature is quite helpful when it comes to taking insights such as step count and weather. It also changes the way we interact with traditional widgets for a better user experience.

App snippets in the EMUI 13 allow you to open key features of an app within a floating window. For example, the camera will show you a photo, a selfie, and two other features, which will start with a tap. This is a subtle change but it’s quite handy.

EMUI 13 equip new animations and security measures. You will experience new improvements in these sections with the latest software version.
