Qualcomm has recently added two new members to the Snapdragon processors family – 6 Gen 1 and 4 Gen 1. Ultimately, these chipsets are the latest invention of the company, especially for the mid-range and entry-level smartphones.

Till now, we have heard about several Snapdragon SoCs indulged in the manufacturing of numerous handsets. Undoubtedly, all the processors to date, have offered an impressive performance grade among the flagship models.

And now, it’s time to give some relief to the mid-rangers in the market in terms of functioning. To do so, Qualcomm has arrived with Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 and 4 Gen 1 processors that mainly focus on internal mechanisms. Further, they bring more efficient designs and premium features for middle and budget-friendly devices.

However, the Weibo tipster @FactoryDirectorShiGuan has shared some vital information regarding the latest chipsets. As per his reports, both the processors are much better than the 6 series chips in terms of performance.

The secret of this wellness lies in the core structures of these chipsets. This time, the company has implemented quite effective and high-end techniques that are unique in comparison to the traditional chips of the 6 series.

What are these new implementations? Let’s find out!

Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor

The key features that differentiate the 6 Gen 1 processor from the other 6 series contain the ISP (Image Signal Processor) as the main component. This element supports the camera up to 108MP resolution. It also supports HDR and 4K video recording.

This is the first time when a 6 Gen processor is featuring such traits. On the part of the performance, the chip uses a 4nm process that boosts the overall functioning of the device by 40%. Ahead, there is a hype of 35% in the graphics rendering over the other 6 series chips. It also uses four Cortex-A78 cores and four Cortex-A55 cores.

Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 Processor

The same goes with the 4 Gen 1 processor. The respective chipset platform boasts impressive performance. It offers multi-day battery life and makes every task comprehensive for the users. Unlike other 6 series chipsets, the Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 adopts a 6nm process and has an exposure score of more than 380,000.

It also applies the Snapdragon X51 5G Modem-RF system for delivering fast 5G download speeds. Ultimately, these are some of the additions that make the latest processors far better than the previous generations’ chipsets.

As per the info note, the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 devices will be available by the first quarter of 2023. While we could be able to see the Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 devices in the third quarter of this year.
