Should Huawei replace Ultra variant with Pura 80 Art Edition?

Huawei is seemingly working on the Pura 80 which may debut in the second quarter of this year. While the lineup may bring the same four models as its predecessors, a new question arises – should Huawei replace Ultra variant with Pura 80 Art?

The company gave a new makeover to its P series in the form of “Pura” brand last year. Even though the new Pura handsets are impressive they missed out on a very significant variant – Art Edition and introduced the Pura 70 Ultra smartphone.

But a new leak suggests that Art Edition could make a comeback with the Huawei Pura 80 series, replacing the Ultra model. What do you think, should Huawei do this?

P60 Art Edition

Art Edition surprised consumers with the P60 series. While the P50 handsets went official with a standard and Pro model, the P60 family arrived with three members.

Unlike the standard and Pro variants, the P60 Art gained a lot of attention for its unique asymmetrical camera design. It has a special shine on the backside with an island-like optical bump in the upper left corner, giving a creative feel to your hands.

Pocket 2 Art Edition

Huawei further continued the Art Edition with the Pocket 2 series. Instead of a plain design, the model showed up with a 3D dynamic space technology. While many of us were expecting a similar Art Edition with the P70 series, Huawei amazed us with the Pura lineup consisting of four models: Standard, Pro, Pro+, and Ultra. All four models slightly differ in terms of back cover but have a similar camera module. Though Pura 70 Ultra has a completely different lens bump.

Pura 70 appeared as the most beautiful P series handset with the best camera features. Especially the Ultra variant, which outstripped many rivals on the DXOMARK ranking. But it doesn’t have any Art model with a funky camera design.

Now a new leak hints that Huawei could bring back the Art Edition with the Pura 80 series. Many netizens favored the leak saying that Mate has Ultimate Design while Nova has Ultra model. Hence, Pura should get the Art variant.
