Samsung Galaxy S25 series debuts to rival 2025 Huawei flagships

Samsung has launched the Galaxy S25 series at the Unpacked 2025 event. The flagship lineup brings three members: Standard, Plus, and Ultra. It comes with major upgrades in terms of processor, design, hardware capabilities, AI features, and more.
The South Korean firm unveils a new flagship every year. Samsung gave a bang to 2025 with the dynamic Galaxy S25 series to rival Huawei’s upcoming flagships.
All three Galaxy phones have top-notch components to fight with Huawei and other brands in the market. Let’s look at the specs and features of the Galaxy S25 series.
Design
Samsung has done some work on the Galaxy phone’s design this time. Unlike the same look, the company has molded its new flagship to a significant extent. For instance, the vanilla variant has a sleeker look than before while the Plus variant has more rounded corners for a comfortable grip.
The S25 Ultra has adopted soft corners instead of sharp-pointed ones. It seems far more comfortable than the previous-gen models and adds a new look to the device.
Display
Standard Galaxy S25 features a 6.2-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x with super-smooth FHD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, Vision booster, 2600 nits peak brightness, and adaptive color tone. The phone supports Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and AOD.
Galaxy S25 Plus uses a 6.7-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display (Infinity-O) with a 120Hz refresh rate whereas, Galaxy S25 Ultra equips a 6.9-inch Quad HD+ Infinity-O-Edge Dynamic AMOLED screen with Corning Gorilla Armor 2.
Processor
One of the major specifications of this series is the 3nm chip. Samsung has used Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite with Adreno 830 GPU for Galaxy S25 series.
- 2 x 4.47GHz Oryon V2 Phoenix L
- 6 x 3.53GHz Oryon V2 Phoenix M
The chip is further paired with 12GB RAM and the following internal storage options:
- Galaxy S25: 128GB/256GB/512GB
- Galaxy S25 Plus: 256GB/512GB
- Galaxy S25 Ultra: 256GB/512GB/1TB
Software
Android 15-based One UI 7.0 stable has arrived with the Galaxy S25 models. The latest software is full of amazing features. The devices also welcome Galaxy AI – Samsung’s first AI platform offering aid in editing pictures, real-time translation, easier interaction with phone, intuitive user interface, LLM-integrated Bixby, Now Brief, Gemini, and more.
Camera
The standard and S25 Plus have a 50MP rear camera + 12MP ultrawide shooter + 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. The front face has a 12MP selfie snapper.
On the flip side, the Galaxy S25 Ultra has a 200MP primary camera + 50MP ultrawide-angle + 10MP telephoto lens with 3x zoom + 50MP periscope telephoto lens for 5x optical zoom + 100x Space Zoom with laser autofocus. The front side has a 12MP front camera.
Battery
The Galaxy S25 bears a 4000mAh cell (25W), the S25 Plus has 4900mAh, and the S25 Ultra has a 5000mAh battery with a 45W charger.
These are the key features of the Samsung Galaxy S25 series. Huawei is currently preparing its next flagship – the Pura 80 series. The previous-gen model: Pura 70 Ultra won the crown of the global camera phone. It would be worth seeing if the upcoming lineup competes with the Galaxy S25 series.
