Relaunched Huawei Pocket 2 flip phone comes with a big perk for buyers

Huawei Pocket 2 Premium Edition flip smartphone has been officially launched and is attending its first sale with a unique benefit for customers.

It is available in four colors: Rococo White, Elegant Black, Tahitian Gray, and Taro Purple. Buyers can select from two memory options: 256GB and 512GB storage versions (with 12GB RAM) priced at 5,499 yuan and 5,999 yuan, respectively.

According to the information, this new Pocket 2 comes with special subsidies worth 500 yuan, which means these two versions will be priced at 4,999 yuan and 5,499 yuan, respectively, after subsidy discounts.

Compared to this premium version, the Pocket 2 used to be priced at 7,499 yuan and 7,999 yuan for 256GB and 512GB versions, respectively. That’s a huge price drop with the relaunched model.

The new version equips an improved chipset. Based on the comparison, the Pocket 2 provides a 20% performance improvement over the P50 Pocket, and the Premium Edition offers a 15% increase over the Pocket 2.

The new Huawei Pocket 2 flip phone comes with a 50MP super-sensing imaging camera with f/1.6 aperture and optical image stabilization, a 3x telephoto camera, and a 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera. The photography is ensured by the XMAGE camera technologies and XD Fusion Pro portrait engine, which optimizes images.

The device adopts basalt water drop hinge design, which reduces the hinge-gap and improves the overall folding experience. The improved design has IPX8 water resistance rating, preventing damage from water splashing.

It sports a 6.94-inch flexible display that folds in half, and the crease is hardly noticeable. It boasts a peak of 2200nits of brightness, and has the lowest power consumption in the phone. Additionally, this flip phone supports a two-way satellite messaging feature.

Battery life is the one thing that flip phone users remain concerned but the Huawei Pocket 2 Premium Edition doesn’t disappoint in this segment with its 4520mAh battery and 66W wired and 40W wireless charging support.
