Pre-booking of Huawei Car Smart Screen begins, sale on January 8, 2021

Huawei officially unveiled the Huawei Car Smart Screen on December 21, 2020, alongside the Huawei S series smart screen with pre-equipped HarmonyOS as well as other smart home products.

The Huawei smart screen offers an 8.9-inch ultra-clear (1920 x 720) resolution display with brightness up to 700 nits and comes with reflection-free glass as well as support the cross-screen transfer of mobile applications (HiCar) and more.

Huawei Car Smart Screen is priced at 1699 yuan ($258). According to the information, the pre-booking of this device starts at a discount price of 1659 yuan. However, the official sale will be held on January 8, 2021.

The Huawei Smart Screen for Cars also supports 30+ Chinese applications such as Baidu maps, Gaode maps, mainstream navigating apps, and others, pop-up selfie camera, rear camera, voice recognition as well as air gesture control.

At HDC 2020, Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei’s Consumer Business Group, said that Huawei’s HiCar smart solution has currently partnered with over 20 automakers, 150+ models, and 30+ applications. It plans to pre-install this device in over 5 million units in 2021.
