Porsche Design has now confirmed that it has parted ways with Huawei and their long-running partnership came to an end in mid-2023. As of now, the company has joined hands with Honor to form new and robust smartphone products.

In a recent talk with Android Authority, Porsche Design stated that its partnership with Huawei concluded on June 30, 2023. Eventually, both parties didn’t make an effort to renew the cooperation agreement which was about to end by December 2023.

“Yes, we can confirm that the successful partnership between Huawei and Porsche Design in the smartphone sector with the Mate series and in the smartwatch sector with the GT Series, which started in 2016, came to an end on June 30, 2023.”

Instead, Huawei has trademarked its own brand ‘Ultimate Design’ with a more amazing appearance, adding new glory to the Mate lineup. Huawei desired to take a self-reliant move rather than relying on foreign firms to support its premium handsets.

So far, the dynamic fusion of Huawei and Porsche Design has offered amazing products ranging from Mate 9 to Mate 50 RS Porsche Design. Although, the Chinese tech giant will now stick to the “Ultimate Design”, for an independent rise.

The latest product in this concept is the Mate 60 RS Ultimate Design which has won the smartphone design Swan Award for its innovative outlook and aesthetics.

On the other hand, Porsche Design has now collaborated with Honor and brought in the Magic V2 RSR Porsche Design. The newly launched foldable phone bears an amazing layout on the rear side, resembling the Porsche 911 sports car.

At the same time, the Magic 6 RSR Porsche Design is in the making and is likely to launch somewhere in March 2024.
