A major breakthrough has been made among the ecosystem development group OpenHarmony ecosystem committee. It has now announced the successful development of the HH-SCDAYU210 standard testing platform based on the Rockchip RK3588 chipset running OpenHarmony 3.2 operating system.

Earlier this month, Huawei released OpenHarmony 3.2, which brings several new improvements to the system features and capabilities for various supported platforms. It also includes enhancements for ArkUI, app framework, app package management, system applications, distributed technology, data management, and more.

HH-SCDAYU210:

The latest adaption of HH-SCDAYU210 will allow developers to test rich features and application samples directly on the development board. It supports distributed music players, email, tablet ecosystems, games, and other essential testing environments.

This is a subsequent result of HarmonyOS 3.1, which added initial support for the RK3588 chip. The development board kit also has boot animation and pre-installed OpenHarmony system apps. HH-SCDAYU210 also supports third-party and distributed apps, games, and media content.

Runkaihong developed the HH-SCDAYU210 testing platform with Rockchip RK3588 and OpenHarmony operating system along with various supporting software SDKs. This board has a large screen with touch interactions. Also, the core equips AI smart chip, which expands at 85mm x 50mm.

This can be used in various devices and is eligible to use in smart terminals, smart car cockpits, smart screens, edge computing, NVR, and other smart interaction scenarios.

RK3588:

This is a flagship chipset and it adapts ARM architecture by integrating quad-core Cortex-A76 and quad-core Cortex-A55 to form dual channels. Interestingly, the chipset fetches an 8K video codec, which is impressive.

Furthermore, the architecture supports performance optimizations and high-performance apps on board. The RockChip RK3588 brings product customizations and fulfills the requirement of various industries. This new chipset is ready for use in PC, edge computing, personal mobile internet device, and other multimedia platforms.

Future plans:

There are some future plans around the development board and its use with the chipset. According to the details, it will board will improve long-term support based on Linux 5.10 kernel. It will support multiple interface LCMs such as HDMI, LVDS, and EDP. Open support for NPU, modem capability, and TEEOS.
