OnePlus has started to roll out the fixes for the freezing device issue while sharing images in the Gallery app. In the latest development, the OnePlus 9R smartphone is getting the latest OxygenOS 11.2.8.8 firmware update to fix the image sharing issue.

According to information, the OnePlus 9R  OxygenOS 11.2.8.8 update landed on the ground with build version 11.2.8.8.LE28DA. It is noted that this update doesn’t include February 2022 security patch besides bug fixes.

To be mentioned, OnePlus Nord 2 5G is the first smartphone to get permanent fixes to the corresponding issue via OTA update. So, OnePlus 9R users are waiting for the update notification to pop up on their device, you can also download the update manually by visiting the phone’s update section.

Speaking about the issue, over time, more than 100 users have reported on OnePlus Community the device freezing issue while sharing pictures from the OnePlus Gallery app. Afterward, OnePlus dig out the issue and found that it was related to the Message app and announced to fix it ASAP.
